Dr. Reitman received his bachelor of arts from Brown University, graduating Phi Beta Kappa and magna cum laude. He received his medical degree from the University of California San Francisco, where he was awarded a Dean’s research fellowship. He performed his residency training at the University of California Los Angeles Medical Center.
Dr. Reitman has worked extensively in the field of addiction medicine since 2003. Since 2007 he has been the medical director of an inpatient substance abuse unit, where he has treated well over three thousand patients.
He operates a private practice in Beverly Hills, where he provides the full spectrum of internal medicine care and outpatient chemical dependence treatment.
He is a licensed buprenorphine provider and has treated well over one thousand opioid-dependent individuals with Subutex and Suboxone. He also has a clinical interest in benzodiazepine dependence and has founded a support group for individuals in treatment for that condition.
